Recent PR Stunts with a Difference

We have been involved in some exciting and innovative PR stunts in recent weeks. Here are some of the highlights.

The Great British Bake Off launch in Glasgow

To celebrate the arrival of the latest series of the Great British Bake Off, a giant fork was placed in the centre of Argyll Street in Glasgow adjacent to a building wrapped as a giant cake.

Seating was also provided so that passers by could enjoy the shows best bits on the day of launch before the new episode aired on Channel 4.

The activity caught the imagination of social media users and has gained a range of press coverage.

Bailey of Bristol Caravan on top of One New Change

To celebrate the launch of its latest caravan model, The Unicorn, Bailey of Bristol placed a caravan on top of One New Change to overlook St Paul’s Cathedral and take advantage of the spectacular views of London the rooftop offers. It became the focal point of a pop-up City campsite, which celebrated the increased popularity of staycations and caravan sales.

Press were invited to view the caravan and there was also the opportunity for members of the public to see the caravan in situ.

Never Mind the Buzzcocks recreate one of their games at King’s Cross Station

To promote the return of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, an identity parade of 90’s boyband members was held at King’s Cross Station. With a new line-up, the show has returned to our screens for the first time since 2015. Members of the public were asked if they could identify which person had not been a member of a 90’s boyband.

Participants included Dane Bowers from Another Level and Shane Lynch from Boyzone.
