The city centre is home to a wide range of stores including Harvey Nichols, a flagship House of Fraser and one of the largest Primark' stores in the country, which attract people from Bristol and the surrounding area.
The city has 2 large promotional areas; Anchor Square and Millennium Square.
Anchor Square is a large 50m x 20m cobbled square in the centre of Bristol’s bustling harbourside. This location is popular with mature Gen Zs and Millennials, attracting evening crowds to wine and dine as well as daytime businesspeople, sightseers and residents enjoying the recreational area. It is a versatile space for hosting live events and all genres of pop-up promotions and has a footbridge, which takes pedestrians directly from Anchor Square into the Queen Square district across the water, adding to the footfall. The experiential space within the square sees footfall from four directions. Previous brand activations and events staged here include Aperol Spritz, BBC, Bristol Festival of Nature, and the Wildscreen Festival.
Millennium Square is a large paved pedestrian zone situated in the centre of Bristol’s bustling harbourside, adjacent to We The Curious. It has beautiful French limestone paving, water features and the spectacular chrome-plated Planetarium. It’s home to the Big Screen and public art work including a bronze statue of Bristol-born actor Cary Grant. The square often has seasonal attractions - a summer fair and winter wonderland making it a popular space to visit. There is one space for experiential marketing, and it occupies a central portion of the square which sees footfall from all directions. This is versatile pedestrian space for events, markets, photoshoots, and product launches in a district of the city which principally attracts mature Gen Zs and Millennials.
